John Kennedy, risponderanno i più informati tra i nostri lettori; ebbene sì, quelle parole le pronunziò proprio lui, ma le scrisse Ted Sorensen, braccio destro e consigliere di JFK, il quale oggi schiatta in seguito ad un ictus e va così a ricongiungersi con il suo capo ed amico, morto 47 anni fa, in quella fatidica tarda mattinata del 22 novembre. A proposito della morte di Kennedy, Sorensen ebbe in seguito a dichiarare:
It was a feeling of hopelessness, of anger, of bitterness. That there was nothing we could do. There was nothing I could do. E' triste che nemmeno stavolta tu abbia potuto fare un granché, Ted.
