Diparte oggi Gatewood Galbraith, avvocato americano, politico libertario e noto attivista pro-marijuana, nonché cinque volte candidato governatore del Kentucky e due al Congresso, senza essere mai eletto (il massimo risultato è stato del 15%), praticamente una specie di Marco Pannella a stelle e strisce.
Non sono servite a niente le sue amicizie influenti (a proposito di Willie Nelson, non fumerò mai più erba con lui), in tutta la sua lunga vita non è riuscito nel suo proposito di trasformare il Kentucky nell'Olanda d'America (e dubito ci riesca ora da morto), e di questo non possiamo che dispiacercene, soprattutto considerata la recente svolta conservatrice dei Paesi Bassi. Dove cazzo andremo a fumare ora? Se v'interessa (e come no!) sul tubo esiste un documentario dedicato a Galbraith, per non parlare della sua autobiografia, The Last Free Man In America: Meets The Synthetic Subversion, la cui copertina da sola giustifica l'acquisto.
